Pitti Express
Florence

I came here twice during my stay in Florence and really enjoyed it. The lasagna was delicious, the service was friendly, and the prices were hard to beat. Great value for the money and a nice casual spot for a meal. I only wish I had tried the tiramisu. I’d happily come back again.
Amazing food and excellent service. Drinks, lasagna, focaccia and great prices. I wish I could have had more from here before leaving Florence. The best find in Italy yet. All the low reviews are because of long wait times but it only shows how fantastic their food is. If you aren’t likely to throw a tantrum because people managed to order food before you I would highly recommend you visit.
The vegetarian sandwich was great. The owner was so nice and general nice vibe. And to be honest, best coffee in Florence. I tried so many even expensive coffee there, but this one was the best and he didn’t try to scam us like others with 3 different prices for their coffees! Pesto lasagna was good but not the best!
Genuinely my favorite place that I ate in Florence during my trip. We went here 4 times in a week. Before our visit to Pitti Express, we saw other reviews that said they went here multiple times. I felt skeptical. However, the same happened to us. We would attempt to have lunch elsewhere (i.e: Central Market or Gustapizza) and my boyfriend and I would look at each other said say “it’s good, but it’s not Pitti Express”. Pitti Express became the barometer during our trip of how good a meal should be. Anyway, we loved it and we are quite obsessed. Everything is delicious. We had both lasagnas (ragu and pesto) on different occasions. We had the Pitti Express shachihata and also the inferno on the rustica. Such fresh and crispy bread and the filling was to die for. The tiramisu was the best I ever had in my life. We always got an espresso and an aperol spiritz. So refreshing. Highly, highly recommend. Very nice staff and a nice place to sit down and people watch. I would recommend even if this is out of the way, but if you’re going to the gardens, it’s a no-brainer.
Small place a bit out of the main city but walkable distance, no matter how far you are this place is a must while you are in Florence. We had lasagna- pesto and with meat, both of them were extremely tasty, soft and very delicious. The best lasagna we have ever had. Tiramisu was also good and we had an amazing vine. Everything greatly priced. Service was fast and very kind. Must visit!
