Description

On this full-day tour, you'll have the chance to visit the Chianti region and meet winemakers producing its world-famous red wine. Upon arrival, head to Impruneta, a small village just a few kilometres from Florence, world-renowned for its historic terracotta production and a must-visit destination for lovers of artistic craftsmanship. Next, we will move to the first boutique winery, where we'll be introduced to the Chianti production and taste different kinds of wine. This visit includes a wine tasting offering insights into regional winemaking and the unique techniques used to create Chianti wine. There, we enjoy a guided tour to uncover the rich history and traditions of this small Chianti producer. At lunchtime, we head to the second winery, located in a small and stunning medieval hamlet that was once home to Machiavelli. There, we will explore the historic underground cellars. After the tour, we’ll sample a wine tasting paired with a tasty multi-course Tuscan lunch. (The second stop may change depending on availability; in that case, the alternative will be another family-run winery). Then, we will continue our trip to the third and last vineyard estate, where breathtaking views of the valley's vineyard-covered hills await us. At this family-run winery, we will taste distinct wines, not only the Chianti so that we will able to taste and learn the differences.
