A must try if you are in Firenze especially if you are at Santo Spirito, the food here will truly make you feel at home and is nothing like other restaurants. The bean soup, aglio olio and porcini were all super delicious. The panna cotta here is also the best we’ve had. You can quite literally see Dory making fresh pasta in the kitchen before cooking it. Highly recommended
This restaurant is a must-visit when in Florence. It is small, charming, and beautiful, with excellent food made fresh to order. Because of that, the service may feel a little slow, but it is absolutely worth the wait. Best Italian food I had in Florence. The whole experience feels warm and personal, especially in such a lovely family-owned restaurant. Everything was spectacular.
Is this the most beautiful plate of pasta you have ever seen? Probably not. But it may be the most delicious. Pasta rolled and in some cases stuffed to order, this is the authentic Florence - not a tourist in sight (with the exception of us, I suppose). The stuffed tortelli was the single best pasta dish we ate in Florence.
This place is truly something special. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you’ve stepped into a warm Italian home rather than a restaurant. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and inviting, like being welcomed by family. Everything here is made with so much love and care by the two owners, who run the entire place on their own. You can really taste the passion in every dish. The food is authentic Italian home cooking at its finest, simple, honest, and absolutely delicious. It honestly feels like something an Italian mama would prepare for you in her own kitchen. If you’re looking for genuine Italian cuisine, heartfelt hospitality, and a place where you feel completely at home, this is it. I will definitely be coming back, not just for the amazing food, but for the feeling this place gives you!
Absolutely delightful, quaint and intimate family run restaurant on the most creative, artistic and entrepreneurial street in Florence. The food is made to order by one single cook in the kitchen. Incredible experience to watch her making pasta by hand. The wait as the food is being prepared with fresh ingredients is worth it. The pastas are well prepared, the sauces are flavorful, the atmosphere is not pretentious at all, considering how many high end brands and shops are all around Florence. I felt as if I was in my Italian mom and grandma's house for a comforting home cooked meal. And I am not even Italian! I felt welcome and at home and left full. Oh and their wine list is authentic and local to the region.
