Osteria del Corso

Beautiful restaurant. AMAZING food! We had the poached pear with Gorgonzola, the pumpkin ravioli and the almond crusted salmon. All three were done to perfection. I don’t think I have tasted a better pear appetizer than this in all of Italy.
Little Gem. The pear and octopus appetizers were both delicious. We also enjoyed the cheese & olive salad, plus our entrees. Partner had pici with a red sauce, mozzarella and fresh basil - I liked hers better than my pappardelle with a wild boar ragú, but mine was still tasty. We skipped dessert as we were full, but enjoyed the complimentary melonchelo aperitif. Romantic ambience and service was excellent. If still in Florence, we’d go back.
We came across this charming Italian restaurant in Florence and ended up dining there twice during our trip. The first time was absolutely wonderful — my husband ordered the lasagna with a glass of red wine, and I had the squid ink pasta, which was incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked. Everything tasted authentic and memorable, which made us want to return again a couple of days later. The service was quick, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable. On our second visit, we ordered the same dishes because we enjoyed them so much the first time. While my husband’s meal was still very good, my squid ink pasta was noticeably saltier than before and didn’t have quite the same balance of flavor. I do wish the kitchen were more consistent from visit to visit. That said, the atmosphere, service, and overall quality were still enjoyable, and our first experience especially left a great impression. I would still highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Florence and looking for authentic Italian food.
We had one of the most amazing dinners at Osteria del Corso. The food was amazing and the service was beyond excellent. A friend recommended this place and we showed up without a reservation. When we arrived the owner was there and he immediately gave us a table and made a few recommendations. Everything was delicious. If you come to Florence you must visit this place. The place is cozy with and excellent charm.
Walked in early evening without a reservation and were quickly seated by Rebecca. Lovely ambiance and very attentive and friendly staff. Rebecca and her colleagues looked after us very well. We only had the risotto and filet steak in pepper sauce but both were divine. Lovely wine selections too. It was so good we immediately asked for a reservation for Friday night as our last night in Florence - bistecca Fiorentina night!!
