⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an excellent dining experience at Casa del Vin Santo. The food was outstanding, and our host was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the different cuts of steak and recommended the perfect wine pairing, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I ordered the Chianina IGP Bistecca alla Fiorentina, and it was so large that I was able to share it with my teenage son. It was cooked perfectly—tender, flavorful, and easily one of the best steaks I've had. I paired it with a glass of red wine from Bolgheri, which complemented the steak beautifully. We also enjoyed the minestrone soup, lasagne, and ravioli with ricotta, spinach, and truffle sauce. Every dish was absolutely delicious. One suggestion: if you're ordering the Fiorentina steak, consider adding a side dish. It comes with potatoes, but we were glad we had other dishes to share. By the end of the meal we were so full that we didn't have room for dessert! If you're visiting Florence and want an authentic Tuscan dining experience with exceptional food and warm hospitality, I highly recommend Casa del Vin Santo.
Ordered a pappa pomodoro and a CHIANINA IGP 1.4kg for 2 people I really like the Pappa Pomodoro; the tomato flavour blended perfectly with the beans. The T-bone steak had a wonderful charcoal grill flavour, and it was cooked just right, not too tough. Even though I am not obsessed with steak, I found it delicious! The service was also excellent. They were very nice answering our questions, and we could get our streak reheated after a request. However, we were planning to enjoy the meat around the T-bone but it was taken away after being reheated. Went on weekdays not too crowded
We went for dinner 5/13. It was great, server was professional and friendly. When we looked menu, we find out about wild boar pasta, and actually came here for lunch the next day. Needless to say, it was great. One of my favorite place to eat in Italy. Buonissimo.
We were Walking on the Ponte Vecchio, and then decided to go find a place to eat and ran across this place. It has the dry age beef as you walk in so if you wanted the Florentine steak, it looked amazing and many of the people sitting by us had it. We just wanted to try some sample of crostini and then I ordered a pizza and my husband ordered the pasta with wild boar. We also had a wonderful bottle of wine that our waiter recommended and it was delicious. The weight staff are very attentive and it’s a very cute quaint Trattoria called Casa del Vin Santo. The owner was sweet enough to come by and bring us a complimentary limoncello. This was a wonderful night to our beautiful trip Florence.
I had an absolutely unforgettable experience at Casa del Vinsanto, without a doubt my favorite place in Florence. From the moment we walked in, the welcoming was on top. The staff made us feel genuinely at home, with a level of warmth and attention that instantly set the tone for the evening. The food? Simply the best meal I’ve ever had. The meat, in particular, was extraordinary, perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and full of rich flavor. It’s honestly the best meat I’ve ever tasted. Everything about this place, from the atmosphere to the service to the food, is just perfect. This is a must-go spot in Florence, a true 10/10 experience that I would recommend to anyone without hesitation.
