Osteria Belle Donne

Dropped it about 730 without a reservation and they made a real effort to seat us even though they were full. We had a pleasant glass of wine while we waited. We had tomato soup - the “absolute over the top best” my husband has ever had and I had the asparagus risotto which was delicious! Very nice Little restaurant reasonably priced and a great staff.
Enjoyed a lovely dinner with friends. We ordered the steak for two that fed three, added salad, and wine. The cheesecake was also quite good. We will be back. It’s a small restaurant and has a wine window on the outside if you’re in a hurry to drink 🍷
Beautiful location in a great area of Florence. This is a small, cozy restaurant with a simple but pleasant atmosphere. Service was good, although the staff seemed a little distracted or perhaps not in the best mood during our visit. The real highlight is their charming wine window, which is absolutely worth visiting. It’s a lovely unique feature that attracts many tourists and adds a special touch to the experience. The food itself was fairly ordinary and nothing particularly memorable. It’s perfectly fine if you’re looking for a quick meal, but if you’re searching for something truly special or rich in flavor, this may not be the right spot. Overall, thank you for the experience — and definitely don’t miss the wine window👍
Osteria Belle Donne in Florence was such a fun and memorable experience. If you are in Florence and looking for that famous tiny door to order drinks from, this is the place to go. It is just like what you see all over TikTok. You knock on the small door, order your drinks, and within a few minutes your Aperol spritz is ready. There were no lines when we went, which made the experience even better. Just make sure to let the lady know you want to order, as you do not need to line up. There is also a person there who will guide you, so just ask if you are unsure. They also have a few other drinks you can choose from, displayed outside next to the tiny door. It is such a unique and charming experience, and definitely something you should try while in Florence.
I took a day trip from Milan to Florence in February 2026 on a day I did not have tickets to an Olympics event. A few months before my trip I discovered the wine window phenomenon on Instagram. I decided to use blogger recommendations to do a self-guided tour rather than take an official walking tour. Osteria Belle Donne appeared on multiple blogs. I arrived when they opened and was seated right away for lunch at a table situated behind the wine window. I loved this table because it gave me a behind-the-scenes view of the wine window. I was dining alone with my service dog, so it was built-in entertainment. The interior of the restaurant is charming and very Italian/European. The staff was attentive and loved my enthusiasm about the wine window. After my delicious and tremendous Florentine steak with a side of potatoes, I stepped outside for the wine window experience. I enjoyed sipping on rosé while chatting with a couple visiting from Israel.
