We stumbled across this place and had the best meal in Florence, we shared a huge t-bone steak. The price was super reasonable for an amazing meal. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Couldn’t recommend it more.
We ordered the famous Bistecca alla Fiorentina and had a wonderful dining experience. Matteo, who served us, showed exceptional customer service from start to finish. He was professional, warm, and very attentive — even helping us take amazing photos of the food. He also recommended the perfect wine pairing for the meat, which made the experience even more special.
From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, the service was second to none. The maitre'd, or waited Amelia, and two other staff members, were all helpful, patient and knowledgeable. Recommendations were spot on, and the dishes could not have been prepared better. The specialty of the house and the region - the Fiorentina -is appropriately pricey for a high end beef cut at a good restaurant, but you will not be disappointed with the splurge. The pasta with roast boar, the pasta ala bolognesa, and the carbonara, were all delicious. Amelia took time to help us download a map so we could see our tour path to see the sights in Fiorenza. We were overwhelmed with everyone's kindness and expert service. A must visit for anyone looking for a wonderful meal experience!
This restaurant is just absolutely wonderful! We came here on our first night in Florence. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted and seated. The server was really nice and gave us some great recommendations on what to eat. The food was really really tasty and the olive oil they give you is the cherry on top. Everything is also reasonably priced. We will definitely be coming back the next time we have a chance. This place is even Michelin recommended! Definitely give this fabulous restaurant a try if you are stopping by.
I ended up at this restaurant for lunch because the Trippa (Lampredotto) sandwich shop I originally planned to visit was closed, and I'm glad I found it. Every dish we ordered was delicious. In particular, the beef dish with mushroom sauce was incredibly tender and flavorful. It seems like Italy really knows how to make the most of fresh mushrooms. The service was good, and the location is convenient since it’s near the Central Market (Mercato Centrale). While lunch was great, I think this place would be even better for dinner to fully enjoy the atmosphere with some wine. Highly recommended if you're in the area.
