My family and I had an exquisite dining experience at Vetreria in late July 2026. We were greeted by Gabriella, our server, and seated right away. Gabriella spoke English and was extremely helpful with the menu options. The ambience was relaxing with a modern yet old Italian vibe. We were given water and bread with oil and balsamic vinegar. The menu is diverse, as is the wine selection. We started the evening with Bruschetta and Fried stuffed zucchini blossoms. The tomatoes on bruschetta were fresh, juicy and ripe and the bread was toasted to perfection. The zucchini flowers were fried to a golden brown and served hot. We had no problem eating it all. For our main course, my son and I split the bone-in, dry-aged Chianina Femmina Steak which comes from local Italian cattle. The portion was huge and it was grilled to a medium rare perfection. We devoured it! The other two dishes were the Tagliatelle pasta with wild boar ragù and the Truffle Cream pizza. I can’t say enough about the flavor and portion sizes which were more than ample for a hungry family. We washed it down throughout the evening with a bottle of Classic Chianti red wine and topped it off with Lemonchello. Florence has many restaurants to choose from and we consider ourselves both lucky and spoiled to discover Vetreria. Thanks to Gabriella and the staff for making it a 5-Star experience.

My partner and I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough, the food, the staff (Leandra) and the vibes are amazing! For starters, I had the ‘Tomato stuffed with burrata cheese, basil pesto and chopped pistachios’. The tomato was the largest I’d ever encountered, the burrata was so soft and creamy, the basil pesto was delicious, and the pistachios added a textural contrast to an otherwise soft dish. My partner had the ‘Traditional tomato bruschetta’, which she says was delicious, with the tomatoes tasting really fresh and the bread having a nice crunch. For mains, I had the ‘Heart of Chianina fillet in Bolgheri reduction with mashed potatoes’. This was my first time trying beef heart, and I will certainly be trying it again if it’s anything like this. I had it cooked ‘blue’ and, whilst it was a little harder to cut, it was certainly not hard to chew. The meat was nice and tender, and the accompaniment of the mash & reduction made this a truly fantastic dish. My partner had the ‘Tagliolini with Bolognese ragù’ which she described as really flavourful, with a good-sized portion, and the meat was really soft & succulent. The pricing for the dishes were very reasonable, especially for a place a stones throw away from Florences Duomo.

Have just dined at Ristorante Vetreria in Firenze. It is the second time we have been here from Australia. This time I brought my family with me and it was just as fantastic as the first time. We were greeted by Leandra who gave us the best service from the first hello. The food was so authentic and fresh. From the tasty bruschetta Al pomodoro, the most tasty Steak tartare made from the Fassona beef, followed by the most scrumptious bistecca fiorentina and an assortment of sides, truffled mushrooms, grilled vegetables and white beans. Stray away from il Duomo and try this incredible meat restaurant. Sensational. And if you’re lucky you may meet Leandra who is just top notch.
