A hidden gem where locals go for dinner. Tucked away from the tourist crowds, it offers a quiet, calm, and authentic atmosphere. The food isn't just delicious - you get a true aesthetic experience on the plate as well, with dishes that look like works of art. The menu is small and specialised in local cuisine. The owner is wonderfully warm and welcoming, personally cooking and serving everything himself.
I had the most beautiful time at this local restaurant with the owner Carmine. He was the highlight of my trip to Florence and the food felt like I was in his home. Carmine’s homemade arancello was one of a kind. Absolutely recommend and cannot wait to visit again.
What a delightful meal! The venison ragu was delicious— my favorite meal of the trip! We felt like a dear uncle treated us to our own private dinner. Make sure to call the number out front if the restaurant seems to be closed during open hours. The restaurant was empty and immaculate at 6pm and the chef was very patient with our pigeon Italian. He even treated us to limoncellos after dinner. Truly an evening we will never forget. Don’t miss this special spot!
A quiet little restaurant well away from the touristy centre. The owner/chef is attentive and kind, despite the language barrier. The menu is not limited to the "standard" set of Florentine dishes served elsewhere, here you can sample duck served with pear and Chianti sauce, or a rich venison Ragu.
Absolutely wonderful, quiet evening! Very friendly and accommodating to vegans, and everything was delicious; especially the broccoli and incredible arancello made in house. The chef surprised us with a vegan apple cake! Will definitely return frequently
