What an absolute amazing wee bar. After so much pizza and pasta on our trip we really wanted something else to eat. Djaria certainly hit the mark. A few of the restaurants we had tried in Florence with high review ratings failed to live up to the reviews but Djaria surpassed them. Delicious food, great beer and wine. The owner made us feel very welcome and was happy to chat which was great. It maybe isn't Italian food but you must visit if in Florence
It was a dream from which I hoped never to wake. That is what I wrote in my journal every day after tasting the wings that changed my life. After searching far and wide, seeking answers where none presented themselves, and persistently hoping to find the “Wing of Wings,” Djaria revealed itself. It whispered to me as I traversed the streets of Florence. I aimlessly wandered, guided only by its increasingly loud voice. Then, like the Room of Requirement, it seemed to materialize directly in my path—almost out of place, yet entirely at peace with its surroundings. I was drawn inside by a force I can scarcely describe, and when I sat down, without even realizing they were on the menu, I ordered the wings. To this day, I do not know what compelled me to do so. It felt as though some force beyond my understanding had spoken through me. The wings arrived. Their appearance was nothing short of heaven on a plate. I took my first bite and was transported from Florence to a realm of unmatched paradise and euphoria. With each bite, I leapt through time. With every dip in the ranch, I was reborn. Crispy. Juicy. Filling. Perfect. I had never known this place existed until it answered a longing I hadn’t fully understood was calling out from within me. Now, there are days I wish I had never discovered it at all—because knowing something this transcendent exists thousands of miles away is its own peculiar form of suffering. The meal did not merely satisfy me; it cast me into a dream. And now I am awake—painfully, hopelessly aware of what I am missing every single day I am not back at Djaria.
This place is great. As far as American bars go, it’s more of a cocktail lounge, but in the best way. Such a chill inviting atmosphere, amazing cocktails, and fabulous food. Personally I’ve never seen a bar with 4.9 stars so I was very curious to check this place out and I was extremely glad I did. The owners are so nice as well and there all the time. Highly recommend and thank you guys!!
