Description

Departing from a bike depot in Florence’s Oltrarno district, this small-group tour leads you away from the city and up into the scenic hills of Chianti. Ride past olive groves, sunlit vineyards, rustic stone villas, and tree-lined roads.

At midday, arrive at a working family farm in the Chianti Classico area. The tour includes a behind-the-scenes look at traditional grape and olive harvesting methods and wine and olive oil production.

The farm lunch features a light Tuscan menu prepared with local, seasonal ingredients, paired with the estate’s wines and extra-virgin olive oil. After lunch, return to Florence by bike, mostly downhill for a relaxed ride back.

Note that there are some steep hills. E-bikes are available on request for an additional 25 euros, payable on the morning of the tour.
