The location is perfect of this hotel ! Most improtant places are within 10 mins walk. The hotel staff has good customer service. Breakfast is included and is very good. The rooms are very clean . However, they are way too dark. Not much lighting other than 2 night stands. Also the bathroom door has a huge glass on it and no curtains. So not good if you are sharing with others. No privacy
Over-all a very interesting and eclectic hotel in a good location. The service was good and the staff helpful. We were only staying one night and I think we must have been put in the worst room of the hotel. The room was dark with poor A/C. The bathroom very small but the shower was extremely tiny and difficult and uncomfortable to shower in. The room entrance was in the stairwell and was noisey. We had one flight up to the elevator and two flights down to the elevator. This should be a storage room not a hotel room. The location was great, 6 minute walk to the train and near restaurants and attractions.
I wanted to love this hotel, and I can believe that some rooms are lovely however, our experience was not great and I cannot recommend. The highlight - location is great for walking to amd from the train station. The highlights of Florence are a simple walk from the front door. The full English breakfast was also a highlight for my husband. The reason we rated it poorly is 2 reasons, 1st the noise was awful. Our room faced the piazza di santa maria novella, which was beautiful, but the restaurants downstairs play LOUD music until past midnight. Then, construction and service vehicles start before 8am. Good luck getting ANY sleep. Additionally the thermostat is an art piece and only sort of worked so we were hot and unable to sleep because of the noise. 2nd - there are no surfaces to put your toiletries or bags. The bathroom sink is a pedestal and there are no shelves in the shower. While they offer shampoo and conditioner, the pumps in ours did not work. Europe rooms are small so best luck avoiding the suitcase wheels On the floor as you shimmy around the bed. For 400 euros a night there are better places.
Fantastic and very convenient location. The reception staffs are friendly and welcoming. The room is beautiful, with authentic period paintings that give it a unique charm. The breakfast is delicious and provides a great start to the day. Highly recommended! Ohh btw, we can finally have memory pillows in hotel which is super appreciated🥹🥹🥹
Stayed for 2 nights in March (which is a great time to visit Florence!) and really enjoyed the quirky yet traditional vibe of this beautiful hotel - we enjoyed opening our door to Thor every day! 😂 The location is so so convenient, a few minutes walk from the train station and all the must-see attractions are within 10 mins walk. There was building work going on in the building next door but the noise wasn't a problem if you're up and out for sightseeing each day. The staff were very friendly and attentive, offering some great recommendations for us. The breakfast was also very good with plenty of food options and good coffee. The room was very spacious, clean, and well-equipped (although the wooden floors were extremely slippery!). Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for a perfect central location in Florence and a cool, comfortable base for sightseeing.
