Beautiful room, comfortable bed, great breakfast buffet! You're close to amazing restaurants, a laundromat, the train station, and the Duomo. And if you're staying in the summer, the A/C is fantastic!
Rooms are typically small, but well appointed, lovely decor and very comfortable. AC is cold, water pressure is good, beds and pillows are clean and comfortable. Has elevator and digital keys. Breakfast service is 7:30-10:30. Its an easy walk from/to SMN train station. I would definitely recommend for single or adult couple, even for extended stay, considering in room desk, the comfortable public areas and WiFi throughout.
I want to give them more stars because the staff was so friendly but honestly I cannot. The rooms were not very clean (there was a sticker on my bathroom wall from previous guests). The bed and the pillows felt like they hadn’t been changed in over 10 years. Very uncomfortable bed. The spring kept poking me in the side. The pillows were so flat you may as well not had them. The dryer broke in the room and they brought me one a guest had left (or more likely thrown away). It didn’t have the guard on it to keep your hair from getting sucked into it so that happened. Twice. We asked for an iron and it leaked all over the clothes. No ironing board was given either. I went on the patio to make a phone call and it was dirty as can be with an old molded and torn umbrella.The free breakfast every morning was inedible so ended up spending another $50 on breakfast every morning after paying for this “4 star hotel.” We had just left a 4 star in Lake Como and it was like night and day to this one. Not sure what the rating system is in Florence but if it’s 4 stars, it’s out of 10, not 5.
This hotel is amazing 👏 The location is perfect (5 minutes walking distance from Duomo). The staff is professional, polite and very helpful. We came 4 hours before the check in and they took our passports for registration and luggage, so we went to walk around, when we came back our luggage was already in our rooms. :) The room is comfortable, VERY CLEAN, modern, but still with renaissance "feeling", sound isolating isperfect (we booked a SMALL double room, but this room is bigger than we expected, with lot of space). Bed is perfect for sleeping. The heating is really good. From airport to hotel we came with taxi for 32 euros. I highly recommend this hotel and this amazing staff.
