I would only give this 3 stars as a Hotel. First of all, Menus of Hotel are all in Italian even in this world. All Receptionists were amazing except one who showed me an Italian Menu on payment device to take action while paying my City Tax. When I asked him what to do, he asked if I’m interested in tipping staff of Hotel with an attitude. I usually tip generously but I will explain why I didn’t tip them later. The room size is ok. The restrooms are even descent sized but if ur 6’2” the shower would be a problem for you. If you are a 220 lb person, elevators would be too compact for u to travel with your lugguage. Super compact elevators, but this is what I noticed all over Italy & not just here. All of this would still be 4 stars but Whats not acceptable to me is the attitude of certain staff. After charging a bomb for a 4 star hotel rating which they think they are, they told me there are three complimentary water bottles and when I go to the room there aren’t any. I had to go down to them cos the telephone display in room is Italian, the staff rudely says, let me come to your room and check. This is while I was standing there saying there isnt any in room. Havent met such unprofessional staff in this trip of France, Seitzerland and Italy. Positive is that breakfast is top notch. Actually best in all of this Europe trip so far. Location is 5 stars as this is in a walkable location from all major tourist places. I will not be booking this again though.

We had a great stay at Hotel Berchielli. The location was perfect, and our room overlooked the river, which made for some beautiful views. We were welcomed with complimentary champagne and water, and the hotel bar was a great place to unwind after a day of exploring Florence. The staff was friendly and always happy to help with recommendations, and the hotel was very clean throughout our stay. It rained while we were there, and the hotel provided umbrellas, which was a lifesaver and a really nice touch. One thing that ended up being surprisingly convenient was having bathrooms on the first floor. It might sound like a small detail, but when you're out sightseeing all day and popping in and out of the hotel, it was incredibly helpful. Even though the hotel is located on a main road, it was surprisingly quiet, making it easy to relax and get a good night's sleep. Overall, a comfortable, welcoming hotel in an amazing location. We'd definitely stay here again!

If you're looking for the perfect home base in Florence, look no further than the Berchielli. We were fortunate to have a room overlooking the Arno, and waking up to that view every morning never got old — it truly set the tone for each day in this magnificent city. What makes the Berchielli stand out is the seamless blend of beautiful surroundings and genuinely warm hospitality. The staff was attentive, professional, and went out of their way to make every interaction feel personal and welcoming. Breakfast was a highlight of our stay — an impressive spread thoughtfully prepared and served with care. And the evening snacks and drinks were a perfect way to wind down after a day of exploring the Duomo, the galleries, and the piazzas that are all just steps from the front door. The hotel's location on the Lungarno is simply unbeatable — right on the river, close to Ponte Vecchio, and walkable to virtually everything Florence has to offer. Other guests we spoke with shared the same enthusiasm, and it's easy to see why so many people say they can't wait to come back. The Berchielli isn't just a place to sleep — it's a part of the Florence experience. Highly recommend.

The hotel is across from the river. Nice king size bed and clean. Nice views, a lot to see. Make sure you brought enough money as it will run through your hands like water if you are not careful. A lot of leather purses, coats, etc. to buy. Also, expensive jewelry. Best to have some tours planned ahead of time or you will wander around. Mix of tolerance toward Americans. Some very nice, others not so much.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel together with my mother. We especially loved the classic, old-style atmosphere, it gives the hotel so much charm and character. The rooms were very comfortable, and even though we didn’t have a balcony and the view was not the best, we honestly have nothing to complain about. The reception area is absolutely beautiful, and the entire hotel is filled with stunning artwork. Every painting feels carefully chosen. Everything was also very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was excellent, and we really appreciated not having to worry about queues at the coffee machine. A small detail that makes a big difference. Overall: Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Location ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rooms ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Food ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you for a lovely and memorable stay!
