Reviews
My stay here felt truly special - almost like a royal experience. The atmosphere of the place, the beautiful historic rooms, and the level of service made it unforgettable. Letizia was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything. Even though my room was the smallest of the six rooms in the property, it was still around 40 square meters, which is very spacious by Florence standards (the average hotel room in the city is closer to 15 square meters). Each room has its own unique historical character and design. Mine had a balcony with a direct view of Pitti Palace, a large bedroom, and a spacious bathroom. One of the highlights of my stay was ordering breakfast to the room and enjoying it while looking out at the palace - a truly memorable Florentine experience. The location is also fantastic. Ponte Vecchio is only about a 3–5 minute walk away, and the street along the river with many restaurants and cafés is just as close. The Uffizi Gallery can be reached in about a 15-minute walk, which makes it very easy to explore Florence on foot. Some previous reviews mention that you can hear neighbors, street noise, and that some of the fixtures like faucets or showers feel a bit old-fashioned. Those comments are true, but it’s important to keep in mind that this is completely typical for historic buildings in Europe, especially in such a central location. The property is located in the historic center of Florence and the building itself is about as old as the palace directly across the street. When you consider this, these details feel like part of the authentic character rather than a drawback. I would absolutely stay here again on my next visit to Florence and would happily recommend it to friends and anyone looking for a unique place to stay in the city.
