After a lot of thought about where to try the famous Bistecca in Florence, Italy, we finally chose this restaurant, and we have absolutely no regrets! The food was outstanding, and the service was excellent. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was also warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this place for families and couples. We truly enjoyed our meal. Thank you so much!
Whenever I come to Florence, I always make sure to visit this restaurant. The quality of the food is excellent, and you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but I especially recommend the truffle pasta and the beef tartare. Perhaps because they serve Japanese Kobe beef, they are always very kind to Japanese guests and sometimes even provide special hospitality. Mr. Besnix, one of the staff members, was especially kind to me, and I truly appreciated it. I will definitely come back again.
The service was very good and attentive. We ordered the Filetto di Chianina alla griglia (Chianina beef fillet) cooked medium-rare. At first, it was served well-done by mistake, which gave us a bit of a shock! However, after we pointed it out to the staff, they immediately corrected it. Although we had to wait for a little while for the new plate to arrive, the correctly cooked steak was delicious—incredibly tender and flavorful.
In my opinion, Trattoria Osteria Dall'Oste SMN is a restaurant you must visit when you are in Florence. The two of us tried the famous Bistecca alla Fiorentina. It was not just a steak, it felt like a work of art — incredibly flavorful, tender, and perfectly juicy. The portion was so large that we couldn’t even finish it. We ordered it as part of a menu, which was more reasonable in terms of price. As a starter, we chose a spicy spaghetti, which was also very good. I had actually visited this restaurant before in 2017. Even though the world has changed a lot over the years, the quality and taste of the steak here remain exactly the same. Highly recommended.
