Loved my experience with my husband at Palazzo Castri. Great location. Hotel’s restaurant food is out of this world. Rooms are clean and quiet. Front desk service was very welcoming. We enjoyed the pool, sauna and massage. What a wonderful stay.
I had a wonderful stay at Palazzo Castri and would absolutely stay here again. The photos online really don’t do this hotel justice. The property is beautifully updated, and from the moment I walked in, it felt more like a peaceful spa retreat than a city hotel. Check-in was seamless and welcoming, and my room was immaculate. The bed was extremely comfortable, making it easy to get a great night’s sleep. One of my favorite parts of my stay was the private balcony overlooking the garden. It was so quiet and peaceful—a perfect place to unwind in the evening with a glass of wine or enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. The location was excellent. It was about a 10–12 minute walk to the Duomo and only about a 5-minute walk from my conference venue, making it easy to explore Florence while still enjoying a peaceful retreat away from the crowds. My only suggestion would be to update the photos online because they simply don’t capture how beautiful the hotel really is. Overall, this was an exceptional stay, and I highly recommend Palazzo Castri to anyone visiting Florence.
Our stay felt like a breath of fresh air after travel delays and a last minute stay here. The staff was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure our early morning departure went smoothly. The room was comfortable and the outdoor space was lovely. I highly recommend staying here if you plan to train from Firenze regularly. The staff members were absolutely fantastic and were the highlight of our stay.
Amazing staff. Fantastic service and great food for when you don’t want to leave the room. The location is perfect. It is close enough to everything so that we could walk everywhere, but also it was far enough that we didn’t have to deal with the noise and the crowds. The gardens were lovely and the room was clean and comfortable. We really liked the hair and body products as well. We went to the spa every day. Our masseuse was perfect and the spa was very relaxing, clean and nice. It was perfect for couple getaway
The location of Palazzo Castri is convenient for exploring Florence, and the property itself is clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. Our stay was overall very good, and the hotel was quiet. The gardens also seem like they would be beautiful in warmer weather. That said, the experience felt more functional than special for us. It has more of a standard city hotel feel—busier and less personalized than what we typically prefer. If you’re planning to spend a lot of time across the Arno, you may want to consider a more central location. One important detail to be aware of: in our standard room, the bathroom had a pocket door with frosted glass panels that were not fully opaque. You could see into the bathroom and shower area from the room, which made privacy limited. Even as a couple, this felt a bit uncomfortable at times. We were told this design is consistent across rooms, so it’s something to consider—especially if traveling with a friend or family member. Our room faced the inner garden, which made it very quiet—we were able to sleep with the windows open. I’m not sure that would be the case for rooms facing the street. Overall, this is a solid hotel that served its purpose well—it just wasn’t quite the style of stay we personally gravitate toward.
