Hotel Calimala was exceptional from start to finish. The modern rooms were beautifully designed and spotlessly clean, providing the perfect retreat right in the heart of Florence's central, walkable district. We thoroughly enjoyed the incredible food and amazing city views at the rooftop restaurant, but what truly elevated our stay was the fantastic staff, whose warm hospitality and attentive service went above and beyond. I highly recommend Hotel Calimala to anyone visiting Florence and can’t wait to return.
Best Best Best Hotel in Florence. Been to Florence several times and this time around, hands down this establishment takes the Platinum Award! From the hotel itself definitely a 5 star accommodation, to the incredible service from Daniel at the front desk who set the tone for our stay, to the two Brunos bar and ftont (outstanding), Angelo, the Bell guy, our housekeeper (Gina), and all the staff! We loved Hotel Calimala so much that we are thinking about coming back with our friends from all over the world!
I first learned this was a hotel when I went to Angel rooftop restaurant for brunch two years ago—the view is incredible. I remembered the name while passing through Tuscany and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had in any hotel I’ve ever stayed in Europe. I’ve been to Florence a handful of times. The bartender Simone and his colleagues were wonderful, he makes a mean espresso martini. I got lucky that the hotel let me check in early the moment I arrived and upgraded me to a room with a view. The lovely woman who was tidying the room brought me an ironing board within 10 minutes of asking to steam my dress before I went to an event. This entire hotel has perfect service. I will be back.
The location was perfect, steps away from all of the best sites in Florence. The property was very clean and smelled amazing. The room was spacious and well appointed. The staff helped us get a taxi in the morning and even let me get a drink from the bar even though I didn’t realize a private event was happening. The drinks and food are pricey, as you would expect (about a 10 euro markup from any place else for a spritz), but we would absolutely stay here again.
We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Calimala Hotel. The rooms were spotless and cleaned daily, making our stay very comfortable. The breakfast had a wide variety of delicious options every morning, which we truly looked forward to. The location is perfect very close to all the main tourist attractions and right in the middle of a lively area full of restaurants, cafes, and beautiful streets to explore. We spent part of our honeymoon here, and the atmosphere made it even more special and memorable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Florence!
