This was one of the most memorable dining experiences of my trip and easily one of the best meals I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, our waiter made us feel welcome. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food. We trusted his recommendations completely and decided to order without even opening the menu - a decision we never regretted. His enthusiasm and attention to detail made the entire evening feel special. The traditional appetizers were pleasant but not particularly memorable. They were well prepared, yet I felt they could have offered a little more depth of flavour. The main courses, however, were outstanding. Every bite showcased the quality of the ingredients and the skill of the kitchen. They were the highlight of the meal and more than lived up to the waiter's recommendations. He also encouraged us to finish with the tiramisu. While it was creamy and nicely presented, it didn't quite meet the incredibly high expectations we had for this iconic Italian dessert. Ironically, we never found a truly exceptional tiramisu anywhere in Florence. If you're looking for the very best version of this classic, I'd save it for a visit to Rome and choose another dessert here instead. Even so, I would gladly return to this restaurant. The exceptional main courses, combined with the outstanding service and genuine hospitality, made it an unforgettable experience.
Love this place. Came here twice on our 5 day trip which is something we never do. The servers were all over it and made everyone’s experience smooth and enjoyable. The atmosphere is perfect and the food even better. Couldn’t recommend these guys more :)
I had this booked as a place to go for authentic Italian food from Florence, they strongly suggest reservations, they do not take online reservations, so we knew there would be a chance of not getting in. However on our last night in Florence they were able to squeeze us in at 9pm, the place was buzzing, it was packed with both locals and tourists. The staff was amazing, attentive and the food, hands down best pasta I've had in Italy. It felt nostalgic. Our waiter was a nephew of the owner, he mentioned it was a family operation, his his mother was in the kitchen, cousins waiting tables, brothers and sisters...you could tell they care about the food and their guests. Don't miss this restaurant while in Florence!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely amazing food — so good that one visit wasn’t enough. I loved it so much that even though it was impossible to get another reservation, I came back again during lunchtime 😂 So the photos are actually from two different days! Every dish was rich, comforting, and full of authentic flavor. You can really feel that this is a true local spot that has been loved for years. The quality and taste are just on another level. If you’re in Florence, this place is a must. Just be prepared — you’ll probably want to come back again too.
Great and traditional food from Florence. The environment of the restaurant is pretty traditional as well, you can hear the staff screaming but this is not annoying, it’s quite interesting. All the dishes we have ordered were really good! I recommend reservations, the restaurant was full.
