I rarely leave reviews but felt so passionately about how incredible this place is I had to. The candlelit atmosphere was amazing, the staff were great and the food is quite possibly the best food I have ever eaten - better than any michelin star restaurant I have been to. We got the Gnudi in butter and Sage sauce, the sautéed spinach and Lasagna. All phenomenal. We have saved the name to recommend to friends and to make sure we can come back
Exactly what you need. Great food, accessible to those who are picky eaters, and elevated for those who are PICKY about what they eat. Yes, I ordered too much and YES I over did it and YES I still ate it all, and YES I do not regret my decisions. The wine selection is large, from affordable single glasses to exceptional vintages that make the wallet a bit sore if you want to splurge, and vast range in-between. The staff is both professional and down-to-earth. We quickly became friendly with our waiter (I believe it was Danny? Apologies... I had a few drinks and already the name is fuzzy) and he had great recommendations for both wine and food. He tried to talk me out of doing both a tartare antipasti and a HUGE rare steak primi but just like with my doctor I ignored that advice and ate like a king. I have to suggest you try the Nonnas Cake for dessert, it is absolute perfection. My picky kids loved the food, and we'll be back again on this trip as well as every trip to Florence after. Listen....When my shy kids (Teens) rush to give a waiter a hug goodbye as they leave, you KNOW you've found something special. Nobody can make a recommendation more highly than that! A gem! (Why am I adding more photos? Because I already went back again! Best carbonara in the world!!)
5★ Sometimes a single dish is enough to make you remember a place forever. For me, that place is La Tienda Rosa and that dish is their tiramisu. After exploring Florence and eating my way through the city, I can confidently say this was the best tiramisu I had. Perfectly balanced, light yet indulgent, rich without being heavy, and made with the kind of care that reminds you why this Italian classic became famous in the first place. The atmosphere is charming, relaxed, and effortlessly Italian, making it the perfect spot to pause and enjoy life’s simple pleasures. If you’re in Florence, save room for dessert and order the tiramisu. Trust me. Foodgoddesme-approved. 👑☕✨
We visited this restaurant specifically for the bistecca alla fiorentina and asked for it al sangue, as we wanted it rare rather than medium-rare or well done. Unfortunately, it was served closer to medium-rare, and the texture was disappointing. On a more positive note, the lasagna felt authentic and was generously filled with meat. The tiramisu was excellent—definitely the highlight of the meal, and something we would gladly come back for.
We were in Firenze for a family vacation and looking for a place to get a Florentine Steak. Some local blogs recommended La Tenda Rossa. It did not disappoint. Best steak of my life and the pasta was perfect. The waitstaff was very attentive and accommodating. Snoopy, as they call him, was great. Man deserves a raise! 10/10 would go back in a heartbeat! It was so good we came back for lunch the next day.
