Hotel is actually two hotels joined together. The view of the piazza is the best part of this experience. Our room is very nice and the staff bilingual and extremely helpful with directions, services and even able to exchange dollars for Euros. Grazia!!
The entrance to this building is shared with a different hotel, which can be confusing but there is a small sign at the entrance stating that Hotel Rosso is in the building.The staff is very kind and accommodating. One of the staff even showed me the old frescos on the wall on the first floor, which were very beautiful! The location is excellent, as it is only a short walk away from the tram to go to the airport, and close enough to the city center that walking everywhere is very doable. The location on the square was beautiful too. The room was tidy and comfortable, though I could hear the voices of the people in the room next to me. I could not hear the sounds on the streets though. The beds were clean and the shower was lovely to use. There is a decent breakfast spread as well.
Great location in Florence. Easy 8 minute walk from tram (1.7 Euros from airport). Close to train station 6 minute walk (Santa Maria Novella). Safe neighborhood. Delcious buffet breakfast included in stay. Shared hotel (entrance name Hotel Garibaldi Blu on the outside). Would recommend this hotel.
