I don’t even know where to start. This was my girlfriend and I’s first experience of dining in Italy, and it was so much more than perfect. To start, the filet (very well priced) was absolutely perfect and so tasty, and I paired it with the grilled eggplants (MUST TRY), and was absolutely fantastic. My partner had the spaghetti which was beautifully made. We met the owner of the restaurant, Rolando, and he was the kindest fellow I have ever met. He gave us such an amazing experience, and has completed my trip to Florence on the first day. Come to this restaurant if you are looking for not only transcending food, but to be treated like family. Our experience was nothing less than perfect. 1000% Recommend to anyone looking for a perfect night of food.
If you want an authentic, unforgettable Tuscan meal, you have to eat at Trattoria Pandemonio. We had an incredible dinner here. We started with the eggplant and pecorino cheese flan (sformatino di melanzane), and it was easily the best we’ve ever tasted—so savory and perfectly balanced. For the main course, the Bistecca alla Fiorentina was spectacular. It was massive, cooked to absolute perfection with a beautiful sear, incredibly juicy, and packed with flavor. Finally, you cannot leave without ordering the homemade tiramisu. It is truly exceptional, light, creamy, and the perfect end to a flawless meal. The service was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Highest recommendation!
The absolute highlight of our honeymoon in Florence! A truly unforgettable, magical moment. We visited here on a local's recommendation during our honeymoon, and it gave us a truly unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime special moment. The atmosphere inside was incredibly warm, cozy, and welcoming, reflecting the charming local vibe of Florence. The entire staff was exceptionally kind and attentive. We ordered the ragù pasta, Bistecca alla Fiorentina (T-bone steak), and a bottle of red wine. The ragù pasta was hands down the best ragù I have ever had in my life. The T-bone steak was also amazingly juicy and paired beautifully with the red wine. What made the night deeply emotional was the staff's genuine hospitality. When they found out we were on our honeymoon, they surprised us at the end of our meal with a beautiful celebration and music. It was a deeply moving gesture that we will cherish forever. If you want to experience incredible food and create lasting memories in Florence, this is the place to go. Thank you, Pandemonio team!
This place was such a pleasant surprise! Our original reservation got screwed up, so we walked here. It’s in the best neighborhood (Santo Spirito, an actual neighborhood where actual people live), on the best street where liberation and antifascism reverberate clearly (you’ll see what I mean). The food was fantastic. The cacio e pepe ravioli are huge and are amazing. The steak was great too. The staff were super friendly, cool, and down to earth. There were actual Italians eating there! Can’t say enough good things about this place.
TLDR: Highly recommend coming to this restaurant! Found this hidden gem via recommendation from our host and it was totally worth it! Super nice and friendly service, lively athmosphere and great food. Although they are not a typical steakhouse, their Bistecca alla Fiorentina tasted amazing. They also have various pasta dishes that looked good but that we did not manage to try out yet. House wine was not fully to our taste as it was on the sour side, but great value for money. We ordered the following dishes for 2 people for dinner (after having an aperitivo beforehand, so you might want to order more): - Stand-up artichoke with parsley and garlic in Roman style - Bistecca alla Fiorentina with baked potatoes and mixed salad on the side - Tiramisu
