We had a lovely time here. The service was outstanding. We were celebrating a special day and the surprised us with a bottle of wine in our room. They went out of their way and got a spot in great food spot and gave us a 10% discount as well. The rooms are clean, big and the breakfast next morning was an experience.
I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Palazzo dal Borgo in Florence. The location was perfect and close to all the major attractions, yet quiet and comfortable at night. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, and the bed was very comfortable after long days of exploring the city. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist with directions and recommendations. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. Overall, I’m very satisfied with my stay and would definitely recommend Hotel Palazzo dal Borgo to anyone visiting Florence. I would happily stay here again!
Fantastic location and service. The front desk was multi-lingual and delightful. They were always attentive and friendly. We even arrived late for breakfast and they were ready with fresh coffee and cappuccino for us. It’s a historic building and next to the train station and next to several sites. Love the area and the cute wine door right nearby. Highly recommend for families and holidays.
This is a nice hotel in an excellent location to walk to the main tourist sites in Florence. It's also just a couple blocks from the train station, which was awesome. Many good restaurants in the area, as well. The staff were exceptionally helpful in this hotel (probably our best service experience in all of Italy). The room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast was a great assortment of croissants, pastries, yogurt, meats, cheeses, eggs, sausage, roasted peppers, juices, espresso coffee drinks, tea, etc. and I loved the beautiful glass room where you could eat in the morning. (That said, the glass room was a bit chilly in the spring, even though they had heaters running, so I did wear a fleece down to breakfast starting the second day. They did also have a warmer indoor space for those who prefer.) The hotel did have an elevator (albeit a very small one), which is nice for those who prefer not to have to take stairs to your room. The only negatives were that our room faced the street and was fairly noisy with pedestrians and diners just below us in the evenings (like I kept double checking our window wasn't actually open), so if you can request a courtyard-facing room (I think they have them), I would recommend that. Our room also had two small steps to get from the sleeping area to the bathroom, and it was hard to navigate them when it was dark at night - I almost fell down the steps (and I am in my 30s) - I think it would be helpful if they added a very dim nightlight under the edge of each step to prevent falls going to the bathroom at night. For our other stays in Italy, we chose more modern hotel options, but we chose this hotel in Florence for something different, because it looked like a more historic option, and I think it lived up to that - the room decor had an old-world feel. Overall, this was a good choice with great service and old-world charm.
This hotel is amazing. The staff are great and so helpful. The rooms are comfortable with a large shower. The walls are thick so you don't hear other guests in their rooms. The breakfast was the best I ever had with plenty of food choices. The location is great close to everything. We were there in January and loved how slow it was, but saw everything without any hassles.
