The truffle eggs weren't tasty as they didn't contain any sauce, just fried eggs without white sauce. The cheesecake isn't as delicious as the picture. Tagliatelle was absolutely fantastic! Torta con la crema inglese the first time I ordered this dish it was fantastic after that oh my God it’s disgusting. No one order anymore please because I can eat it. I try that tiramisu. It was good. Also the dish filetto pepe verde the first time oh my God I want to eat all the dish, but I after this time I ordered also twice it was in good. The first time I will show you all the photos. Honestly, my last visit was terrible. I ordered tiramisu, and last time they served it with just tiramisu and grated chocolate. This time, there was coffee on top of the tiramisu, not cocoa or grated chocolate. It was awful.
The best entry, popcorn with tartufo was amazing!! Gabriele the server elevated our experience, he was so kind and funny. We had an exquisite creamy chicken with black truffle and a spicy pomodoro pasta, amazing too! We all had a hugo spritz, a lemon sorbet and a cheesecake which was very creamy! The place is beautiful and so cozy, we were in the bar part in the first floor because the terrace was full, but it was sooo worth it!!! We loooved this place! I even went back already for that truffle chicken.
We came here because it was attached to Hotel Hermitage, which we were staying at. We called via the hotel phone and was able to snag a reservation at 9PM the same day. Unfortunately, because we made the reservation that same day, we could not get a sunset view. The table we were sat had a view of the clock tower, but it was hidden behind trees. They offered table bread but it came in a brown bag and untoasted. There was white and brown bread, with the brown bread being tastier in my opinion. We started off with the Foie Gras w/ Homemade Mustard. The homemade mustard was jammy and tasted sweet, unlike the traditional mustard. It also came with a side of Thai chili sauce, 2 pieces of toasted bread, and fresh herbs. The foie gras was more of a paste and similar to the French pâté rather than the traditional foie gras we were used to. Luckily we had the table bread because the toast that came with the dish was not enough for the amount of foie gras we got. As a side, we got the truffle chips because it was highly revered in the reviews. I loved that the chips were homemade so it was a bit more thick than usual, but wasn't oily. I couldn't really taste the truffle on the chips despite seeing it on top. They were a bit more saltier than store bought chips and had a tougher crunch. For the entree, I got the veal with tuna and carpe sauce. It was thinly sliced pieces of veal like deli meat and the sauce was really salty but not fishy. My partner got the truffle chicken, which was very good. You can taste the earthiness of the truffle so keep that in mind as some people do not like the scent. It was grilled chicken breast and it cooked to perfection as it was very juicy.
I cannot recommend this place enough! If you come here you have to get a seat at the rooftop area; unfortunately I was not there in the summer so they had transparent blinds down which did partially obstruct the view but I got a table in a good spot overlooking Ponte Vecchio so it was still nice. Ordered the duck ragu, the cabernet sauvignon and the house special cheesecake and they were all spectacular. Service was lovely and I just had a wonderful time here, will definitely be back next time I'm in Florence!
