By far the best meal I have had in Florence. The owner was so nice and friendly. Even giving us a lesson about the local truffle. Ingredients sourced locally. Food is amazing and a hidden gem. Plan to come back when I return back. The sponge cake is the best I ever had.
One of the best places we ate at in Florence. We didn’t plan to have lunch here but still it was one of the best food choices we did during the trip. Surprisingly the place was not super crowded like everywhere else in the city, so we enjoyed the cozy environment. The food was delicious and the service was brilliant, they know how to sell and present their dishes and how to treat people. I highly encourage everyone to come here as we tasted the best carbonara we have ever eaten! They even offered to refill our water bottles before leaving the place since it was a very hot day. Incredibly kind people :)
Great food, wine, and excellent service, friendly owner. The menu is small but high quality, and the place seems popular with locals and tourists alike. My only minor disappointment was that, as a solo lunch, I wasn't allowed to sit in the garden despite there being available tables and no queue. It seems this might just be standard practice in Italy during high season. Still, a lovely experience overall and I would recommend it to everyone.
If you are looking for delicious Tuscan cuisine in a relaxed setting visit this family owned trattoria on Florence’s Oltrarno neighbourhood—a little walk from the Carrera Bridge but oh so worth it! It is easy to find on SERRAGLI, a main street here, and it has a neon sign that has TRATTORIA in green. We visit multiple times when we are here and recently enjoyed the Cacio e Pere starter (pecorino in ice cream—amazing), the homemade pici and ragu, and the sliced steak with arugula and Parmesan. Did I mention their take on roasted potatoes? Gorgeous wedges roasted with rosemary and bacon. Yum. Don’t miss the amazing “Silk Road” dessert that features a sampling of delicacies that are inspired by places from China through the Middle East and Venice, the Italian terminus. This is a taste experience like none other. I can’t say enough about the chef owner, his parents who help out, and his caring servers who will ensure that your meal is a memorable one. The covered patio in the back is delight. The prices are very fair. There is an English menu and other languages too. The house wine is great but an impressive wine list too. The food and service delish!. Enjoy this hidden gem off the tourist track. We have visited at least a dozen times over the years and have loved every bite while we dine with the locals and other travellers from everywhere.
Excellent food and super friendly and kind owners. We ordered two appetisers and we liked the one with herring & fried chestnut so much! According to the owner, it’s the recipe passed down from his grand parent. So good! Pici and pasta with wild boar sauce were also superb! The desserts, especially Tiramisu, is a must-try!!! 素晴らしい‼️
