Description

Day 1: Welcome and New Year’s Eve Celebrations Arrive in Umbria and check in at your hotel in Foligno. Enjoy free time to explore the historic center and soak up the festive atmosphere before the New Year’s celebrations. In the evening, head to Il Poeta Contadino, an elegant restaurant between Perugia and Assisi, for a special gala dinner. After the midnight toast, fireworks, and dancing, return to the hotel. Day 2: Marmore Falls, Spoleto, and Living Nativity Scene of Bettona Depart towards the Marmore Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in Europe, located inside the beautiful Nera River Park. Enjoy free time to explore the scenic paths, admire the views, take photos, and enjoy the surroundings. Next, have lunch in a local restaurant in Valnerina, with drinks included. In the early afternoon, arrive in Spoleto and take a guided tour of one of Umbria’s most fascinating cities. Discover its Roman, medieval, and Renaissance heritage, including the Rocca Albornoziana, Ponte delle Torri, Roman Theatre, and Piazza del Duomo. In the evening, visit the Living Nativity Scene of Bettona. The medieval village comes alive with over 22 scenes and more than 150 costumed performers recreating the Nativity and ancient crafts, offering an immersive journey through history and tradition. Then, have dinner in a traditional trattoria near Assisi, with drinks included. After dinner, return to the hotel and overnight stay. Day 3: Spello & Gubbio – The World’s Largest Christmas Tree After breakfast, depart for Spello and take a guided tour of this charming Roman village. Discover the ancient walls, Porta Venere, the picturesque flower-filled streets, and the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore with the famous Baglioni Chapel decorated with Pinturicchio’s frescoes. Have lunch in a local restaurant in Spello, with drinks included. In the afternoon, depart for Gubbio and take a guided tour of one of Umbria’s oldest towns. Discover its medieval heart and landmarks: the Roman Theatre, Piazza Grande, the Gothic Cathedral, Ducal Palace, and Palazzo dei Consoli, home to the famous Eugubine Tables. Continue with the magical Christmas atmosphere of Gubbio and its famous World’s Largest Christmas Tree, listed in the Guinness World Records. Enjoy the festive lights, Christmas markets, nativity scenes, and celebrations. In the evening, witness the lighting of the spectacular Christmas Tree, followed by a traditional Umbrian dinner. Return to the hotel and overnight stay. Day 4: Departure Have breakfast at the hotel, check out, and depart for the next destination in Italy or return home.
