Highlights
- Experience Italian culinary tradition in an exclusive group of up to 12 participants
- Learn to cook tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce from scratch
- Prepare fresh ravioli filled with ricotta cheese and classic tiramisù
- Enjoy the meal you prepare accompanied by a glass of house wine
Description
Meet in central Florence and, if booked for the 9:00 AM shift (except Sundays and bank holidays), start with a visit to Sant’Ambrogio food market. Explore authentic grocery stalls offering fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, salami, and cheese sourced from local producers. This market is a popular choice among locals for quality ingredients at reasonable prices.
Return to the kitchen to begin cooking. Start by preparing ragù and tomato sauce, which require the longest cooking time. Then, knead pasta dough using simple ingredients like eggs and flour. While the dough rests, learn to make tiramisù including the smooth mascarpone cream and layering technique.
While tiramisù chills, enjoy a short break tasting typical Tuscan appetizers and hear the chef’s insights into Italian culinary history. Resume by shaping the pasta dough into tagliatelle and ravioli filled with ricotta cheese. Follow step-by-step guidance from the chef to create authentic pasta shapes.
Finish by sitting down to eat the meal you cooked along with a glass of quality house wine.
