Description

Start with about two hours of free time in San Gimignano to explore the medieval streets, admire the ancient towers, and sample local specialties. Continue through the rolling Chianti hills to a cozy winery for a guided tasting of three Chianti wines. Enjoy a three-course “zero-food-miles” lunch featuring local ingredients, ending with cantucci. Next, discover Siena on a guided walking tour if selected, visiting its medieval streets, Piazza del Campo, and optionally the Cathedral interior. You will also have free time to explore Siena further on your own. In season, the walled hamlet of Monteriggioni is included for independent exploration. The order of visits may vary.

Note that from November to March Monteriggioni is not visited and the return to Florence is approximately 30 minutes earlier.
