Description
Depart from Florence on a scenic drive through Chianti, known for its wine production and beautiful landscapes featuring cypress trees and olive groves. Travel along country roads to Montefioralle, a medieval village perched on a hill, where your driver will share insights about the region’s history, culture, and wines.
Continue to Greve, the central town in Chianti wine production. Visit the main square with its shops and wine museum. Next, pass through Panzano before stopping at a winery to explore the cellars, taste wines, and engage with the winemaker. Sample traditional Chianti varieties such as Classico, Riserva, Super Tuscan, and Vin Santo.
At lunchtime, choose between dining at a local trattoria known for excellent wines or enjoying a private lunch in a winery cellar. The tour then proceeds to Castellina, where a stroll along narrow streets and visits to wine shops are planned.
Later in the day, visit a second well-regarded winery to deepen your appreciation of Chianti’s diverse wine offerings.
