The Museum of La Specola is the most ancient scientific Museum in Florence, founded by GranDuke Pietro Leopoldo di Lorena and opened to the public in 1775. This Museum is part of the 6 Natural History Museums in Florence, here you can find exposed over 5000 stuffed animals and the greatest collection in the world of anatomical waxes made between 1770 and 1850.

It is a great place to visit with and for kids - especially during a rainy day in Florence.

Summer - Tuesday to Sunday: 10:30am - 5:30pm

closed 15th August)

Winter - Tuesday to Sunday: 9:30am - 4:30pm
