An old style character hotel. Room was cosy and compact. Bathroom was a bit congested. Staff were very friendly and courteous. Breakfast is good with variety of cold food and limited of cooked food. We like the fact that cold lemon water and squash were provided in the foyer in the afternoon. Very convenient location.
Hotel Boticelli is an excellent location .. you can’t go wrong .. friendly personnel, excellent breakfast , comfortable beds and clean rooms . It is close to everything and good restaurants.. one of our favorites is just down the street from the hotel Osteria Pepo.. front desk can make a reservation. This was our second visit to Boticelli and we will return soon and we highly recommend. Congratulations to your employees who made our stay so pleasant . GRAZIE
Friendly and helpful staff who were wonderful. Great value hotel in a central location perfect for sightseeing. Room was a reasonable size and comfortable, with bathroom a good size too. Hotel was quite opulent with a fresco ceiling and two comfortable lounge rooms which was an escape from the heat outside.
This hotel is definitely an older style hotel, which was completely fine for us, but it’s worth noting that the rooms are quite small and the walls are fairly thin, so you can hear noise from nearby rooms and the hallway. If you’re travelling with large luggage and carry-ons, I’d probably recommend upgrading to a larger room or considering another hotel if space is important to you. The rooms themselves were clean, and overall the hotel was fine, however the bathrooms were probably the biggest downside. They are extremely tight and difficult to move around in comfortably. The combined bath/shower setup also wasn’t ideal as the glass door moves while showering and water easily floods onto the bathroom floor. The bathrooms could also use a bit of a renovation, as there was some mould in areas where water tends to pool. That said, if you don’t mind those things, the hotel itself is perfectly fine. The bed and breakfast setup was pretty good and the location is excellent — very central and easy to walk everywhere in Florence. The mould mentioned in my review was mainly present in the grout areas of the bathroom where water tends to pool. We did also ask about the possibility of upgrading rooms within the first hour of our arrival, which we were happy to pay the difference however the concierge advised the hotel was fully booked at the time. Overall, I still appreciate the central location, breakfast and the effort from your staff during our stay.
This is a wonderful quaint hotel that was excellent value for the price. The staff was friendly and very helpful and responsive. The breakfast had a nice variety of options and nothing was unappetizing. It is walkable to almost everything and not a far walk from the train station. I would recommend this hotel to any visitors to Florence.
