A fabulous hotel that is absolutely made by the service and the breakfast. Rooms are a little dated but generally clean. The service from the reception staff is second to none with an extensive and delicious breakfast choice. Walking straight out the hotel you can see the cathedral and only a twenty minute (slow paced) walk
The rooms were kept clean and in excellent condition on a daily base. We travelled as a family and although we booked for one room of four persons we were offered for two rooms with no extra charge which was very much appreciated. The breakfast was very good. The location if you don't have a car is 15 minutes fast walk to the Duomo with no restaurants or cafe on your way.
I had a great stay here. For the price it's a very good and well maintained hotel. The staff were exceptional and the breakfast was fantastic. The design of the hotel is very nice and it's in a good spot. You have the T2 tram that goes to and from the station right in front, and it's an eighth minute walk from a major bus hub. It's not right in the middle of the main area of the city, but I preferred this as it was more peaceful, and it is just an extra ten minute walk or bus ride to most of the major sights.
The hotel is very conveniently located right next to the tram, with most major tourist attractions within easy walking distance, perfect for exploring the city without hassle. The rooms are big and spacious, with high ceilings that make the space feel even more open. The bed was very comfortable, which made for a restful stay. I arrived earlier than the official check-in time and the staff kindly assisted me with a slightly early check-in, which I really appreciated. I also had a minor incident during my stay and the staff were responsive and helpful in resolving it. The breakfast spread was decent, and the pastries were a highlight for me. Overall, it’s definitely a hotel worth considering for its location, comfort and supportive staff.
Hotel de la Pace is an exceptional hotel! Our concierge and bartender was kind with great hospitality. The breakfast was *amazing!!* The most impressive breakfast I’ve ever found in a hotel. The bar was awesome, drinks and coffee were well made. Our room itself was beautiful, clean, with big bright windows and a comfortable bed and large bathroom. We had our laundry washed and our clothes were returned to us in great shape. The location is awesome—the Accademia Museum (Michelangelo’s David), Uffizi Museum, the cathedral (Duomo & Bapistry), and Medici Palace were all within a 10-15 minute walk from us. My husband and I have stayed in several hotels during our trip through Italy, and Hotel de la Pace was by far the best. I can’t recommend it enough!
