Our stay at Hotel Hermitage was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we could tell this boutique hotel takes immense pride in every little detail, and it perfectly captures the charm and elegance of Florence. The location right on the water is stunning, and the rooftop restaurant was unforgettable. I had the best lemon chicken I've ever tasted, and the entire dining experience was incredible. Breakfast was equally outstanding, with delicious food served in a beautifully designed setting with elegant furniture that perfectly matched the hotel's antique character. The staff truly made our stay special. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about both the hotel and Florence. Before we even arrived, they responded promptly to my emails regarding our room requests. When we entered our room, we were welcomed with a beautifully decorated bottle of red wine with our names on it—a thoughtful touch that immediately made us feel valued. The receptionist spent so much time showing us the city map and explaining the attractions with such enthusiasm and devotion that I was genuinely speechless. The room itself was spacious and very comfortable, with an excellent air conditioner that let us control the temperature exactly as we liked. There was a proper wardrobe, desk, and two bedside tables, making the space practical as well as beautiful. Room service was 10/10. What impressed me most was the attention to detail. Complimentary slippers embroidered with the Hermitage logo, branded napkins, gorgeous star-shaped lighting fixtures—everything reflected the hotel's commitment to quality and elegance. The antique charm flowed throughout the entire property, creating a truly memorable atmosphere. The only small downside for us was the standing shower being open within the room, offering very little privacy. It felt a bit unusual, but it certainly didn't take away from an otherwise wonderful experience. Everything else was simply superb. Hotel Hermitage exceeded our expectations in every way. We will absolutely return on our next visit to Florence and will happily recommend it to our friends and family. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!

We had a very pleasant stay here. The staff was super friendly and helped carry our luggage into our room. We arrived earlier before our check-in time and they were able to accommodate us. We were also given a map and suggested visits and routes to take. Breakfast is provided at 7AM but we went earlier at 6AM and it was already set up! They had a huge variety of breakfast items! They had yogurt with a bunch of toppings available at your disposal, some charcuterie including toast and crackers with deli meat such as pastrami and sliced cheese, along with an assortment of pastries, including muffins, pies, and croissants, as well as a bowl of fresh, uncut fruit. There is a server behind the counter that makes your coffee for you in an espresso machine. They bring the coffee and hot water for your tea directly to your table and it feels like a dine in experience even though it was free. It was very clean with room service everyday. A bottle of still water was also provided daily. We were located at the 3rd floor and they had a restaurant at the 5th floor. Unfortunately, the kitchen was right above us so we heard a lot of rolling, clicking, and clanging throughout the day and night when they are open from 6AM to 12AM, but we were able to sleep through it as we are heavy sleepers. I do believe if you get an upgrade, you will get a room at the bottom floors which would be quieter.

Other than a bed that’s harder than my back prefers, which they quickly remedied with an extra duvet, the stay was lovely. The front desk, especially the two women, were very helpful. Would return in a minute!
