Very good, and the best breakfast I had in Italy! (Italians don't seem to be into breakfast?) Very convenient to the university, which is what I needed. Note that the plugs seem to be old, and only the one in the bathroom could accommodate my adaptor, which was a bit awkward.
This is a beautiful hotel, dating back to the 1500s. The rooms are very spacious and well appointed with much character. The staff are knowledgeable and caring. Breakfasts were included and were generous and delicious. It is in a great location, walkable to so many places. Museums and shopping are close by. There are a couple of drawbacks. While there is a tiny interior elevator, there is a steep incline of steps to get up to the hotel proper and there is no handrail. This is also a gathering spot for young people. It is nice see them, but they do not move. Second. The bathroom had a shower that one "built out." Water gathers on the floor. This is not very safe.
Charming hotel, renovated to high standards, in a fabulous location. One of the best cafés in town, across the street, if you happen to stay not in the main building. We were lucky to have a room from which we could see the parade of the Florentine New Year!
This place was wonderful to stay for almost a week. Let me say that the first room they led us to was all the way up to the top floor and the windows didn't open and it was so hot in the first room. My husband asked them if there was a room with windows so we could open them. They were so nice and let us choose between two rooms. We had to pay additional for the bigger room, but it was so worth it. The breakfast here is to die for and fresh everyday. There was machine made Café latte and espresso every morning. This place is only 5 mins away from the street cars and then only 10 minutes to the train station. It was so great to get up early, eat breakfast, do our tours, and come back to the room for a rest before heading out for dinner. So, nice to stay here and not too expensive really. The place has a small elevator and bathtubs. Super nice and if in ever back in area, I would stay again.
