Everyone at Palazzo Niccolini al Duomo was incredibly kind and helpful. Situation after situation (train delays, taxi strikes, hungry children, etc.) was met with grace and hospitality.  This was our second time staying here, and I hope every time we travel to Florence, they have a place for us. This visit, one of our rooms had a little stairwell to a small adjoining room -- perfect for our young daughter. Everyone had space and was very happy. I even sent them flowers as a thank you -- everyone was spectacularly kind, and we would highly(!) recommend.

An exceptional hotel in a ludicrously great setting. Just remember you are going to a medieval palace, not a cookie-cutter, homogenised Hilton built in the 1980s - the rooms are all individual and brilliantly distinctive. If you want corporate samey-ness, look elsewhere - if you want the Florentine stay of a lifetime, stay here.

It was an awesome place. It's definitely worth the price. The location is right next to the Cathedral, making it so easy to take breaks while sightseeing. It was especially nice to be able to head straight back and rest after climbing Giotto's Bell Tower. The bathroom is very spacious, and the staff are all so friendly. Highly recommended! There’s also a hidden, attic-like room where it’s lovely to enjoy a glass of Prosecco while listening to the sounds of the city outside.

My husband and I stayed here during our visit to Florence in November and we absolutely loved it. We reserved one of the junior suites. I emailed the hotel before our stay to specifically request the red room and they were happy to accommodate me. The room itself was lined with original frescoes and it was stunning. It made us feel like we were experiencing a piece of Florentine history even when we were just taking a rest in our room. The breakfast room is also a beautiful immersive experience with the frescoed walls and regal furniture. The food selection was wide and easily can cater to all tastes and diets. Location was a plus as well. Right next to the duomo so all neighborhoods of the city were easily accessible. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a romantic stay full of history and a touch of luxury.

Located right next to the Duomo, amazing location with tons of attractions and shops nearby. Amazing large rooms and fantastic view of the Duomo from the windows. It is quiet and the perfect place for a hotel in Florence. The staff are all extremely helpful and even let us stay after our check out in the lounge for a couple hours while we waited for our train to arrive.
