Reviews
Great location within walking distance of most attractions. The staff were friendly, and we especially appreciated Rachel at breakfast, who was very helpful. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options to choose from. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The only downside was the noise early in the morning when the market vendors started setting up their stalls on the street outside.
Had an excellent room on third floor looking over the church. Very convenient Location, was close to everything. Staff were so helpful and the breakfast was amazing. Only reason I didn’t give 5 star for room, the bed wasn’t the greatest. For what I paid the bed should have been better. Not sunken in the middle like I had.
Our stay at Solo Experience Hotel was once again excellent. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Florence, and truly unbeatable. What stands out most is the size and comfort of the rooms — a rare find in such a central area. This was our second time staying here. Last time we booked a suite; this year we chose a standard twin room, and even then the space and comfort were outstanding. I would happily return to this hotel any time I visit Florence.
Man this is a rough one.. No air conditioning in the room, and this was clearly known before we checked in. Instead of informing us at check-in — when we could have made other arrangements — we reserved this hotel online weeks ago making things even more complicated finding a replacement hotel. We didn’t find out until we returned to the room around 11 PM. The temperature inside was in the 80s. Opening the window wasn’t an option either due to a strong sewage smell outside, making the room extremely uncomfortable. When I called the front desk, I was told “AC no work, it’s okay” before the call was hung up. Calling back only got us a vague response that it might be fixed tomorrow — no solution, no apology, no effort to help. After traveling across Italy and staying in multiple hotels, this has easily been the worst experience — well below even basic hospitality standards. The lack of transparency, poor communication, and complete disregard for guest comfort is unacceptable. Update to original review: The management noticed my review, and immediately interacted with us offering a fan for the room, and accommodated with scheduling our taxi for 4am to the airport, and continued to make sure when the staff saw us that we had everything we needed. They still had the issue, and although they attempted to resolve after the exterior smell from the room, air conditioning not being able to be on at night and the night shift employee interaction still stays the same. Overall I feel other hotels in area are a better option, but we did love the location of this hotel to restaurants and shopping. I’m improving my rating accordingly.
We absolutely loved our room! It was incredibly spacious, and the bathroom and shower were fantastic. We were traveling with a third person, and as many people know, rooms in Europe for three are often very tight with a tiny extra bed. This was completely different, my son, the third person had a separate room with a large, very comfortable pullout couch. It far exceeded our expectations, and the price made it an even better value. One thing to note is that although the hotel does have AC, it is not used during the winter months. However, you can open the window to get fresh air. Overall, a wonderful stay and we would definitely recommend it!
