We had a great dinner here during our trip to Florence. The food was delicious, especially the steak, which was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The ingredients tasted fresh, and every dish we ordered was enjoyable. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and we would definitely come back the next time we visit Florence. Highly recommended!
Ciao bellissimo! We had a wonderful time with Danilo. He made it feel as if we were dining in his home and was very gracious and accommodating! I had the tasting menu and everything was fantastic - steak was cooked to perfection, tartare melted in my mouth, and the dessert had a unique variety of delicacy. We would come back any time all because of the experience we had with Danilo :)
In short: May be the best meal I've personally ever had. To the staff: Be proud of what you do. The atmosphere was intimate, and quiet. We were sat in the back of the restaurant. They had some tasteful pop song covers playing. I went here with my wife on our honeymoon, though I did not mention it to the staff. Our server was incredibly attentive, and kind to us. She brought us a sample of a delicious tomato soup, and recommended me a red wine which I enjoyed. We ordered the steak for 2 and a side of roasted potatoes which was more than enough food for us. Potatoes were soft, and crispy. The steak was beyond incredible. We ordered it medium rare. Very well salted and crispy. There could be something better elsewhere but surely I would hit diminishing returns in the pursuit of perfection. Instead, I am content to have set a new standard for myself. I don't know how to objectively rate the merits of a steak so I will simply say it this way: I had a really good meal! I recommend the Semesfera di Cioccolato for dessert. We also got some complimentary limoncello afterwards!
We read about La Carbonata Ristorante via Cavour in our Rick Steve’s travel book and we’re not disappointed! The T-bone steak was delicious as were the desserts. Our waitress was so kind as we stumbled to try Italian and took great care of us. We chose to sit outside which was our choice and the frequent bus and traffic were a slight inconvenience but absolutely recommend!
This was hands down the best dinner we’ve had since arriving in Italy. The Fiorentina steak was incredible and the food overall was much better than what we tried in Rome. Super friendly and attentive service, they kept checking if everything was okay and treated us really well. Highly recommended.
