Absolutely beautiful experience! Giada recommends the Fiochetti di pera — pear pasta — and it did not disappoint. Delectable. Also enjoyed the eggplant Parmesan, which was melt in your mouth good. And the burrata was the best we have had so far in Italy. Everything was perfect. Service was friendly and attentive, very personable wait staff. Beautiful exterior with a floral-adorned patio. We ate inside because it was too warm outside, but inside was equally lovely. Would give 6 stars if we could! (We came for lunch without a reservation and were seated right away; reservations are recommended for dinner.)
We went for a late lunch with no reservation and although it was pretty full, we were sat immediately. The menu is still not in English but it wasn’t a problem at all with today’s technology it’s very easy to translate quickly. We went for the pear and asparagus pasta as it was highly recommended, and it was the best thing I have ever eaten IN MY LIFE. Our server was impeccable and I’m so sad I didn’t catch her name (if you ever see this, I was the blonde American with bangs and you told me you loved my voice! I’d love to connect with you and thank you again!). Language barrier was nonexistent she gave us all the recommendations and picked our meals and wine for us. I can’t wait to go back and I can’t thank her enough for an amazing experience!
Located in a vibrant and picturesque piazza in the Oltrarno district, this is very good but highly touristy place. It's massive popularity means a reservation is highly recommended. Still, it completely manages to live up to its internet hype. Eating outdoors was very pleasant Florentine dining experience. Ordered their iconic pear pasta ("fiocchetti di pera") which was truly delicious, paired with a glass of Vermentino. Although, must say that pasta portions are quite modest for the price. Their tiramisu was excellent. The service was average. Interestingly, they don't have an espresso machine - they serve coffee made in traditional moka pot.
This place is a must. We started with the octopus, best thing on the menu and would get it again 10/10 times. We also had the pear tortellini which is very unique and almost a dessert but comes in a delicious white sauce to make it savory. The other entree we had was the filet steak, delicious. Maybe a bit undercooked for some but great for 28 euros which would cost $60+ at any steakhouse in the U.S. we finished with the cheesecake. The least special of the meal, normal cheesecake with berries. Service was super fast and Francesco was fabulous.
This restaurant was recommended by our AirBNB. It did not disappoint! The server and the owner were very personable and made our visit very enjoyable. The suggested meals and wine were perfectly matched. We couldn’t decide if we wanted raspberry or chocolate topping for our cheesecake, so she brought both. We were told it was, “The best cheesecake in the universe!” And it definitely was The. Best. Cheesecake. In. The. Universe!!! Wow! Everything was delicious! Highly recommended!
