The salad 🥗 and beef cheeks were top notch. Rigatoni was good. Red wine was too warm and needed to be kept in a cooler area. Overall, great service. Much respect to the chef. Good art on the wall. Good location. Fair prices.
Hidden gem away from tourist traps this is a must visit for people that appreciate good food. So good we came twice on our trip, once for dinner and again for lunch. Excellent service from the local co-owners. We had the steak, pork rage pasta, vitello tonnato, tartare and salads. Fantastic wines and real care for the produce. Absolutely delicious and great vibes
Stopped in for lunch and very glad we did. The food was probably the best meal we had in Italy. Loved the atmosphere - feels very Firenze. Owner was incredibly patient and warm and took lots of time to explain the menu.
we are so glad to have found this restaurant. First of all, they use local and seasonal ingredients and secondly, the food is absolutely amazing. 😊 It's a small and cozy place, which is also great for a romantic dinner. Staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. If you are in Florence and you favor quality over quantity this is the perfect restaurant for you.
Around the corner away from the heavy tourist energy, Bistrot Monaconero sits down a quiet street in an unassuming manner. What greets you inside, is a menu that will bring you excitement and giddiness from each bite. I wondered how the hell i had the place to myself with dishes this good. I cannot recommend the tartare and their take on an old fashioned to wash it down with. The cold soup starter was outrageous and the truffle burrata dish was just perfect. The staff are extremely nice and space is very relaxing.
