We had dinner at Il Santa Maria in Florence and overall enjoyed the food. I ordered the Tagliata di Manzo ai Funghi Porcini, and while the service was not the best during our visit, the steak itself was very tasty, especially with the rich and flavorful porcini mushroom sauce. My boyfriend had the Risotto ai Frutti di Mare, which was also very good and full of seafood flavor. To finish, we shared a tiramisu that was wonderfully creamy and the perfect ending to the meal. Although the service could have been more attentive, the quality of the food made up for it. A good option if you’re looking for a satisfying meal in Florence.
Such a great place for steak, if you're in Florence, which is famous for amazing steak!! They have an incredible selection of different types of steaks, from around the world! The waiter explains exactly how it will be served. When it arrives, it is a pure taste sensation! The Greca Salad was amazing, as well as the great wines, cocktails, and desserts!!
The food was spectacular, truly excellent and highly recommended. However, the service was a bit inconsistent: both the manager on duty and the waiter taking the orders were not particularly friendly or welcoming. That said, I especially want to highlight Arif, who truly made the experience a positive one. He was the only person who consistently treated us with kindness, positivity, and a smile. His service was exemplary and made all the difference. This review is mainly to thank Arif for his outstanding attitude and professionalism.
It was our first time at this restaurant and what an experience it was. The welcome upon entry was warm and inviting. The attire of the staff and the decorum of the interior was tasteful. The server was very pleasant and kind and very enthusiastic in his presentation and warm service. The FOOD was amazing - I did not expect to finish my meal, but you can see in the pics that we were well pleased with the food. We had to make space for dessert, which was just as tasty and then they topped that off by offering a glass of limoncello - what a service. This is definitely top notch service. Our servers were Wassim and Bisha - they are a valuable asset to Il Santa Maria. My mom and I will be back 💕👌
Excellent food, service and ambience! From start to finish we enjoyed all parts of our service. Loved being able to check out our steak before having it cooked. Definitely recommend if your are seeking a place to enjoy a nice meal in Florence- Thanks to our servers- Rido
