On our last day in Florence, I found my favorite restaurant! I could SWIM in their onion jam it was THAT good!! Aldo was amazing. He was attentive and took time to chat with us which truly made us feel at home. You will love dining with Aldo at Locanda De’Medici!!
The good reviews for the restaurant are extremely accurate! We came two days in a row and it was delicious both times! Our server, Aldo, was amazing and was the main reason we wanted to come back. We had the Florentine steak, the ravioli filled with burrata, the caesar salad, and the spicy salami pizza. For dessert, we tried the panna cotta and tiramisu. Everything was phenomenal! It was the best meal we’ve had between Florence, Rome, and Milan. I highly recommend!
The best restaurant we visited in Florence, without question. The Bistecca alla Fiorentina was the best we had during our entire trip—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and unforgettable. The Caesar salad was fresh and generous, and the pizzas were absolutely delicious. What truly sets this place apart is the incredible service. The staff is warm, attentive, and speaks English, Italian, and Spanish. A special thanks to Aldo, an exceptional host who makes every guest feel welcome. Amazing food, amazing people, and an authentic Florentine experience. A must-visit in Florence! 🇮🇹✨⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Overall we were happy with our dinner here. The bolognese meat was tender and sauce had great flavor. The ham and fried pizza balls were delicious. I tried pappa al pomodoro and it was hearty. We were both a little disappointed in the osso buco. It tasted good, but we found too much of it was fatty so we only got a couple bites each. A great spot in the heart of Florence.
Amazing delicious food! My bf and I absolutely loved the 5 formaggi pizza, it had many contrasting flavors and still was super light. I also had this beautiful pasta, it was so good!! The tiramisu was AMAZING out of this world. Service there was lovely both times we went there. My bf loved it so much he suggested we go a second time the next day. Lovely atmosphere also, we were seated outside both times and adored the vibe of the place
