Gustabar, via maggio steps from the piazza santo spirito and part of the several gusta restaurants at the piazza, is a wonderful little bar/bistro open all day and inviting you in with creative colorful decor and a staff that welcomes you with smiles. The food is fresh and flavorful, the coffee variations are strong and paired with really delicious pastries. I love the handwritten menu on chalkboard, such an artful sweet touch. Gustabar is open all day and offers menu options from breakfast to lunch to aperitivo. Word has it they make the best espresso martini in town!!
My husband stopped over to gustabar to grab drinks while waiting across the street to order pizza. He returned saying he had a nice interaction with the bartender about ordering a campari spritz. We enjoyed our drinks and continued to wait... Turns out when it was our turn to grab a table one in the bar had opened up and the the bartender collected us gave us props on our pizza choices and got us sorted with a table and a bottle of wine. While waiting for our pizza to arrive we got to chatting with Tino the first bartender we had the pleasure of meeting and Mura also tending bar. Let me tell you these ladies are friendly, fun and have great advice. It's was really nice to connect with them while traveling. We came back the next day for sandwiches which were superb as well. Thank you Mura and Tino for making our trip to florence that much more enjoyable! We appreciate you!
Great little bar with delicious sandwiches and excellent espresso. The service was super friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Definitely a spot we would recommend!
Wonderful experience in all aspects. Seeking a good wine bar after visiting the local gardens, we found this local gem. Fantastic! Affordable wine, charcuterie, cheeses and beer. The highlight was the homemade focaccia "made with love 💕 " rich with olive oil and sea salt. Proprietors were lovely, friendly folks who understood good food, kind service and a cultural exchange. Our #2 board had (guessing) salumi, cotto, prosciutto, burrata, jam, pecorino etc. This and the bread w/ drinks we considered our slightly rustic but best meal yet. 7€ wine was to die for. Highly, highly recommended and hospitably memorable. Loved it. Hope you have a similar experience.
I loved this bar! The spritzes were about seven euros each, but they were delicious and they brought us some sandwiches and garlic bread and chips. The food was so tasty and yummy, just a chill environment and we enjoyed having a cocktail here before dinner.
