Beautiful room in an ideal location. We booked for our family of four and had a full sized loft with an additional bed. The decor was lovely and the room was very clean with good amenities. I can’t believe it was that nice for the price. Only issue is that you do have to climb from the ground floor to the first floor for the lift.
This hotel has nothing to do with a (4 star?!) „hotel“. Unfortunately, we got blended by the positive reviews from other guests. Only some older reviews shared our opinion. We would never book this again as the price compared with what you get is far away from reality. This „hotel“ is based on two or three floors inside of a regular apartment building and feels more like a shared flat than a hotel. Each floor contains of several rooms that can be locked, but you can almost hear everything that is happening in the floor. After entering the building it smells really bad, but this can not be blamed on the hotel and is more like an antic city issue I guess. The reception is in the third floor can only be reached by walking stairs or taking the elevator. Important to notice that the Elevator is not reachable from the ground floor which makes it mandatory to walk at least a couple of steps. The internet was really bad in our room so we actually could not use it. The check in is only until 17 o’clock. „Luckily“ they extended our check in for 2 hours, but for my side this still feels more like an air bnb where you have to pick up the key than like a real hotel. Breakfast is not available at this „hotel“. Overall the only thing that is even 5 stars is the location as it is just around the corner of the cathedral.
