Hotel Palazzo Guadagni

Could not recommend this hotel more!! We stayed there for two nights for our honeymoon after getting married in a villa right outside Florence and they took such great care of us, giving us an absolutely amazing room with an incredible view. I feel like most people know about their amazing rooftop bar, but when you stay with them, you get to have breakfast there all by yourself essentially since there are so little rooms. The area is still close to everything, but not in the middle of the hustle and bustle, which we love. Highly recommend!!
Great stay. I think we were there 5 nights. Great neighborhood close to everything. Staff gave us excellent recommendations. The only negative is if you are in room 12? you should expect a bit of bar noise at night. Not overbearing but noticeable.
To be honest it is difficult to review this Hotel as we had just come from an outstanding Hotel in Venice and there are several areas where i feel this Hotel was not uo to scratch so i maybe being a bit hard. The hotel in itself is beutiful and ideally placed for all of the sights in Florence, Front desk staff were helpfull and saw us to our rooms and we always recived a warm welcome when returning to the hotel, also the evening Bar Manager always greated us warmly. However, the bedroom was looking a bit tired and lacking in both plug sockets and USB sockets, i understand its a very old building so some things are difficult but certainly in our room replacing a standard socket to include a USB port would be easy. Also no creamer or milk was provided in room which given how much you pay per night is poor. Sone of the public areas were were also looking a bit tired. At breakfast you cannot get your own coffee but multiple times finding someone to take the "order" was difficult as they were all out the back talking and in comparison to other hotels offering a continental, breakfast options are limited. Whilst we did enjoy our stay in this hotel and i could be being harsh there are certainly other options in Florence we would explore.
We stayed at Hotel Palazzo Guadagni for four nights this February and loved the authentic charm of the property. The Loggia terrace is truly unique with views over the city and our room was really comfortable and scenographic with large windows onto Pitti Palace. The staff were kind, and the location is extremely convenient for exploring the city’s main landmarks on foot. Another great surprise was the breakfast which is something I always look forward to when staying at a hotel. There are fresh juices and a wide selection of pastries and salty options that you can enjoy in the beautiful breakfast room or right outside on the Loggia. We will definitely recommend this hotel to friends visiting Florence and look forward to being back soon!
