Lovely spot to the side of the square. A real authetic gem. Warm and friendly staff and great food. Best meal we had in Florence. I had the wild boar pasta and my partner had the vegetarian lasagne. Both superb. Highly recommended 5*
Food was delicious and made me feel like I was in a very fancy restaurant! Table seating mostly outside but the road is blocked off to cars. Very peaceful setting right outside a church. Service was good…just wish we had another night to eat there!
Great spot. Busy evening but we’re seated quickly and given prosecco while we waited. Owner was incredibly nice and attentive. Amazing food and limoncello on the house after dinner!
The staff are so incredibly kind and hospitable. I am staying in Florence for 3 months and have been getting dinner here almost every day. Everything I have ever ordered has been beyond delicious and their 1/2 liter of wine for 10€ is a great deal. If you don’t know what to get I recommend the spaghetti, also 10€ and you get a good serving. The sauce is perfectly balanced and has wonderful flavor. They also have really great dessert ;) their seasonal menus are lovely as well. Overall I cannot recommend enough, you will not regret spending your time here! I have made lots of wonderful memories here.
A cozy Florence gem Osteria The rabbit stew (daily special) was deeply flavorful, tender, and perfectly balanced with bright herbs and a slow-cooked richness that felt both rustic and refined. The fresh potato gnocchi with yellow squash were light, pillowy, and sauced just enough to let the potato shine while the squash added a sweet, seasonal contrast. Both dishes showed clear attention to technique and fresh ingredients. Their house red paired nicely with both courses, fruity and smooth without overpowering the food. The tiramisu was very good — creamy and well-extracted — slightly short of the best we’ve had so far in Italy but a strong, satisfying finish. The dining room is cozy (tables were close but reasonable distance) and welcoming with an easygoing Florentine charm. Service was attentive and not intrusive (European standard). Highly recommended for anyone seeking authentic, well-executed Tuscan cooking with thoughtful daily specials and a friendly neighborhood feel.
