Baldovino Bistrot
Florence

Quite the most charming meal and service I’ve ever had. A family run Institution run by expert staff. Our waiter Claudio was gentle and welcoming with top notch pizza. I’ll never eat anywhere else in Firenze!
We went here on the spur of the moment as we were in the Santa Croce area. We expected it to perhaps be a “tourist trap” type of restaurant. It obviously does cater to tourists but the food was great. We had one of the tastiest meals we’ve had yet on our 10 day trip. The servers, were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about the menu. We had a range of things from pizza to cacio e pepe, seafood pasta and veal shank. Everyone found their meal very tasty. It had a range of items that appealed to a variety of tastes. I would recommend this restaurant and hope to go
You feel at home here - and the food will knock your socks off. One waiter was from Rome, the other from Matera. As we were headed to Matera next, he gave us restaurant suggestions there.
We took up the lunch set at 💶 euro40 as per the tour guide suggestion. The set included spaghetti (small portion), red wine (unbranded), a slice of pizza, the beef, and tiramisu. The restaurant serve group tour dine in and we arrived in 3 large groups resulted shorthand from restaurant side thus no much service to offer, space constraints also a problem. The beef is good so as the pizza, spaghetti nothing special and tiramisu meet standard. The beef in the photo was to serve four pax
