Pasta is pretty good. the steak is great but i preferred a little bit more cook like medium-well done. Thankfully, they cooked more for me. It’s a little bit pricy tho. Pasta is almost 30 euro and the steak is almost 90 euro.
The absolute best meal we had in Florence. Expect many many courses and to leave very full! We got the Bistecca alla Fiorentina, and it did not disappoint. Our server and the owner treated us like family. They gave us complimentary bread, dessert and limoncello. It was spectacular. It won’t be your cheapest meal in Florence, but it will be the best one and the best experience!
If you’ve waited your entire life to come to Tuscany this is the restaurant for you! The atmosphere is beautiful, the owner so gracious and welcoming. My 7 year old grandson loved her! She gave him chocolate, markers to color ( He gave her an original drawing) and a hug! We were a group of 6. They served us family style so we all shared a little of everything. We started with their signature fried bread. So delicious! And a bottle of the house red (and then another) Chianti, also delicious! The special Large Maccheroni Pasta was wonderful, as were all of the appetizer specials, Asparagus, Tomato Tourine with Green Beans and the amazing fried Zucchini Flowers stuffed with wonderful ricotta! On to everyone’s favorite, the Tagliatelle with clams, shrimp, calamari and scampi. My son-in-law said it was the best thing he’s ever eaten! I’d have to agree. They brought our 7 year old picky eater a large bowl of spaghetti with butter shortly after we were seated which was much appreciated. Then on to The Bistecca alla Fiorentina. A perfect, huge cut of meat served plainly and perfectly, with delicious roasted potatoes. Of course we were too full for dessert, but were surprised with Biscotti and lemon sorbet and wonderful Limoncello! We can’t recommend this lovely restaurant highly enough. It’s a little hard to find but worth the adventure. It is not inexpensive but the memories we made are priceless. If we could give it 10 stars, we would. Grazie Mille!
A beautiful restaurant with spectacular food. Five course meals at the finest. One of the best seafood pastas I've ever had. Steak cooked perfectly and wasn't to much to finish but left you full. Deserts that are so good it's worth coming back for just them. But what I really like is the way they celebrate staff. On their website (which is amazing with the information they give you) they list every employee and give a little information about them. Every employee bus boys all the way to the owner. Not only is it a restaurant feels like a family. I wish more restaurants did that.
Such a great place to eat. Reservations are recommended. They bring fried bread to the table, which are like little golden pillows of flavor. Lightly salted and warm, they were delicious and gone in no time. We shared a caprese salad with burata cheese and fresh tomatoes, and a tortelli pasta dish with cheese that were both good. But the highlight of our meal was the 1.5kg bistecca Fiorentina that was cooked perfectly. With the appetizers, it was plenty of food for four people. They served us a lemon sorbet after the meal to cleanse the pallette, and almond cookies that look like biscotti but were softer. For dessert, we had tiramisu, and a special for the evening of orange cake with ice cream on the side. Both were excellent. I'm so glad we came here.
