Important Information

  • - You will climb 463 steps to reach the top of the Duomo. There is no elevator. - All visitors must pass through airport-style security. The security and ticket check are mandatory and no one can skip it, during high season due to the crowds this process could take more than 15 minutes. - Shorts above the knees and sleeveless shirts are not allowed inside the cathedral, the crypt and the baptistery. - The Baptistery is undergoing restoration of the mosaics. - The cathedral is closed on Sundays and during Christian holidays, and it could be closed (even without prior notice) for any other liturgical reason. When the cathedral is closed, you can not enter the crypt as well as it is inside of the one. All customers have access to the Cathedral and the crypt for 3 days with their ticket.
