Description

We take pride in the fact that our private culinary tour is unique, as you and your group will be involved in the whole preparation of the meal. You will meet your guide outside Santa Maria Novella train station, and then you will go to the well-known historical food market, where you will meet the people who dedicated their life to the Tuscan products, such as bakers, butchers, and farmers selling fresh vegetables. The locals shop here, and you may explore with them while they make their selections from the wide variety of specialty foods, including cheese, olives, balsamic vinegar, fruit and vegetables. You'll receive shopping assistance from your guide for the ingredients you'll need for your private cooking class later. You will get the opportunity to try a variety of famous Florentine products as you walk. After the visit to the Mercato, you will head to the Walkabout Florence kitchen in the countryside with your guide. The class will start there, in a stunning Tuscan farmhouse situated on a private estate. You'll be getting into the swing of things right away because we think that involvement is the greatest way to learn. This is not just a demonstration. You'll be cooking a real four-course Tuscan dinner on your own, guided by the experienced chef. Your chef will show you how to create fresh pasta with farm-fresh eggs, a delicious meat sauce, and a delightful bruschetta with fresh bread, the farmhouse's own olive oil, and tomatoes using the freshest ingredients available from the markets and the estate's kitchen garden. After that, you can relax and have a nice glass of Chianti while sampling the delicious bruschetta. You'll start cooking the classic Tuscan roast pork and potatoes after your little break, complete with freshly picked garden herbs. Then, you will learn how to prepare tiramisù, a coffee-flavored delicacy that is incredibly popular in this region. Now, it's time to relax and enjoy the delicious meal you and your group have prepared with your own hands using Tuscan recipes. Along with the delicious meal and a glass of regional wine, you can enjoy the gorgeous setting and views of the hills. You'll return to Florence with a full stomach and a heart full of memories after your private cooking class.
