Description

Appointment at Porta Rudiae, one of the 3 main gates of Lecce. After the historical explanation of the Gate, we will taste the famous 'Leccese coffee' accompanied by the typical dessert the 'pasticciotto'. We will continue the tour with the explanation of some Churches that we will encounter along the way, until we arrive at the Duomo Cathedral. Afterwards we will continue to Piazza Sant Oronzo, the main and ancient square of the city, and after the explanation we will have a tasting with the typical Salento 'taralli' and 'pizzi'. We will continue the tour by going to Santa Croce, one of the most beautiful churches in Italy, with its majestic façade. Between one alley and another of the historic center, we will stop at Porta San Biagio, one of the three main gates of the city, and after the explanation we will stop in a historic bar in Lecce to taste a glass of Apulian wine of your choice and the famous 'frisa ' or 'rustic' typical Salento food. Our tour will end here, where after saying goodbye, you can remain calmly inside the bar.
